House Seasoned Salt

Notes

Use anywhere you would normally add salt to add depth and balance. Inspired by classic seasoned salts like Lawry’s, without additives. Based loosely on the seasoned salt blend by Diana Rattray, adjusted to be more boldly seasoned with less total salt. Keeps indefinitely when stored in a sealed glass jar.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp granulated onion
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt (or a pinch of celery seeds)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a small blender or spice grinder.
  2. Blend for 10–20 seconds until evenly mixed.
  3. Store in a glass jar at room temperature.
