I don't care to pick favorites, but this is my favorite tofu recipe.

💡 An easy sub in oil-free cooking is swapping in Soom tahini for toasted or regular sesame oil.

This recipe is based on the fan favorite "Herb-Baked Tofu" shared online by Wegmans Executive Chef Mark Makovec.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz block extra-firm or firm tofu
  • 1 1/2 tsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • Pinch crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Rinse, dry, then cube the tofu.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine tahini through garlic.
  3. Add tofu and gently fold with your hand or rubber spatula to coat.
  4. Spread on parchment in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 300°F for 15 mins, stirring after 10 minutes or so. Add 5-10 minutes of cook time for "firm" tofu.
  6. Enjoy warm, at room temperature, or chilled.

Makes 3-4 servings
