Pepperoni Almonds
Smoky, pepperoni-seasonsed almond slices for sprinkling on salads, bowls, pizza, or a charcuterie board.
Wet ingredients:
2 1/4 tsp
low sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp
liquid smoke (e.g. hickory)
1/4 tsp
maple syrup
Dry ingredients:
1/2 cup
sliced almonds
3-4 tsp
- Mix the wet ingredients gently with the almonds.
- Mix in 3-4 tsp pepperoni seasoning, to taste.
- Dry in an air fryer or oven with dehydrate setting at 115°F about 1 hour until dry. Break apart clumped nuts at 30 and 45 mins in.
- Store cooled to room temperature in a glass jar for several weeks.

Season to taste. I add about 3 1/2 tsp pepperoni seasoning.
The time needed to set the seasonings will vary. You could even just use an oven heated up for a minute and turned off to allow the residual heat to dry the seasoning.
When adding to pizza, add after baking the pizza.
