Burger Patties

plant-basedoil-free

Firm, oven-steamed beef-style burger patties made from our Old-Fashioned Hamburg base.

Burger Patty, Cooked
  1. Prepare the Old-Fashioned Hamburg mixture as directed.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized burger patties.
  3. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover the sheet tightly with aluminum foil to ensure the patties steam and retain moisture.
  4. Bake at 325°F for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, flip the patties, put the foil back in place, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Let cool while loosely covered before storing or serving to allow the texture to set.

Notes from Craig

The steaming step (covering with foil) is crucial for the texture; without it, the oil-free patties can become too dry or crumbly.

Once cooled, these patties hold their shape well and can even be hand-crumbled into sauces or onto salads.
